Hideout Players Present HAIR - The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical: August 24-26, 2012

Who’s ready to let the sun shine in? The Hideout is staging a five-performance production of HAIR - The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical on August 24th, 25th and 26th. The 1967 musical tells the story of “the tribe”: a group of bohemian, long-haired hippies opposing the Vietnam War draft during the Age of Aquarius in New York City. Our Chicago production features a diverse cast and crew handpicked from a wide pool of Chicago musicians, actors and ‘general fun’ enthusiasts.

Bobby Conn, Musical Director leads a live ‘pit band’ featuring:

  • Paul Brannon (Mucca Pazza, Ssion)
  • Paul Parts (Daniel Knox)


Producers Kate Urcioli (Little Shop of Horrors) and Rob Allen (The Encyclopedia Show), along with director Sarah Ann Giocomo and Assistant Director Gabriel Wallace (Chicago comedic-poetry enigma, Mahjongg, Relevant Hairstyles) lead a cast of local improvisers and musical theater veterans, including:
